Fooood!!! A strong knight requires a good meal and a pint of beer after an exciting battle. How can the shaking hands of a weary warrior hold his sword and shield with a stomach filled with nothing but glory and victory?! We know you are always attentive to this resource and so we prepared a nice feature for you to avoid desertions of your troops due to intentional downtimes.

 

  Starvation during intentional downtimes

We are glad to present you with one of the most requested community features! One of the most annoying things with downtimes is not even the fact you cannot enjoy our game for 30-45 minutes (though that one is pretty up there, we know), but the disappointment that sets in when you return to your castle after maintenance to find a fleeing army, disgruntled and unfed vagrants of the Great Kingdom. Even if you do not lose them to the ravages of a rumbly tummy, it always takes a lot of time to prepare and distribute the food you need to feed all your units until the downtime is over. Well this feature changes things: 

  • During our maintenance players will not lose troops due to starvation.

  • During this time your units will not consume food, but food will also not be produced in any of your locations.

  • This system will not affect the production of other resources.

  • You will now see fewer troop desertions after intentional downtimes.

Disclaimer: We would like to clarify what intentional and unintentional downtimes are. By intentional downtimes we rare referring to scheduled periods of time during which the server is deactivated to update the game, perform hotfixes or general maintenance. Unintentional (or unscheduled) downtimes happen when servers shut down due to power loss, hard drive crashes, bugs that limit access to the game etc. This system can only be applied for intentional downtimes that we are previously aware of and are within our control.

 

  Increase equipment storage

We previously mentioned to you that we were aiming to increase equipment storage with our next update. We know it’s something you have all been asking for a lot and you would like to see more space in equipment storage as soon as possible. Unfortunately, the feature won’t be rolled out for you with this update, but never fear! It is still planned and we are doing our best to implement this change with the update after next one.

New Research levels


Additional research levels will be added:

  • Workbench: Increases the production speed of tools in all castles

    • 6 new levels → final level = 15

    • Lvl 10 → +4%

    • Lvl 11-15 → +3% (each level)

  • Force March: Increases the travel speed of units being stationed

    • 5 new level → final level = 10

    • +5% each level

  • Shady Business: Increases the travel speed of spies

    • 3 new levels → final level = 10

    • +5% each level

  • Minstrel: Increases the glory points received in battles

    • 5 new level → final level = 10

    • +1% each level

  • Biographer: Increases the honor gained

    • 5 new level → final level = 10

New packages in the Equipment Trader

  • The Legacy of the Eagle Demon and Power of the Elements set, previously available only through private offers, will now show up in the Equipment trader too.

 

  • Given the high cost of these items, the option to purchase them will be visible only to those players that have the possibility to buy them and thus avoiding to overload the vendor for every player.

  Rebalance of the gift peddler

  • Everyone has at least one fellow warrior out there on the battlefield who is still learning the basics of warfare. But everyone was a rookie at least once, perhaps you are strong enough now and wish to thank your supporters for their help in making you the mighty warrior you are today. No matter what kind of Gifter you are, the gift peddler is the perfect way for you to make your friends happy!

  • We rebalanced the gift trader to give every type of player the chance to make use of her wares.

  • The packages are now based on your level and your activity in the game!

  • Low and mid levels can gift an  unlimited amount of resources but no tools.

  • High levels can max out all the goods in the gift peddler's wagon.

  • But that’s not all, the rebalancing will continue. Expect brand new packages coming this summer to support your friends with cool event tools to help them make better progress in the game!

 

 

 Reworked castle overview

It has been a long-term request for many players and we agree, the game has grown in content over the last few years and it became a little frustrating to keep track of everything, especially the overview of your castles with all its resources and troops, something really essential! And for every castle lord that info can be the difference between victory and defeat.

  • The economy overview now has 4 separate tabs for resource, military, miscellaneous and currency overviews.

  • The resource overview shows not only the common resources but also all the precious kingdom ressources you own in your main castles, outposts, metropolis, capitals, monuments and laboratories.

 

 

  • The military tab gives you a good overview of your bloodthirsty horde of soldiers. Here you can not only station them but also filter for offense/defense units and tools. Besides that, you can now see the food consumption for all units in your castles. Note: The shown food consumption is only the accumulated food consumption of all troops and does not include any bonuses from the bakery etc.

 

  • Under miscellaneous you will find your public order, protection, market barrows, city guards, population and also your aquamarine stock and cargo points!

 

  • Last but not least, the currency tab. Here you will have a good overview of all your event currencies. This list can contain Khan tablets and medals, Samurai tokens, pearls, minute skips, lucky wheel tickets, fast travel feathers, talismans, rune gold and runestones.

 

 

 

 Optimized kingdoms and events transfer

As mentioned above, the Empire has grown massively in content. New cool elements have been implemented and old ones optimized. But there are still some parts of the game that became grey and wrinkled over time, like the transfer dialog for kingdoms and events. With this update we will make it fresh and smooth again, like a baby’s bum!

  • New filters for offense/defense units and tools will make your kingdom transfer way more convenient.

  • You will see the troop/tool amount, their food consumption (accumulated of all selected troops, not including any food bonuses in the target castle) and the overall travel costs.

  • Overall, this will help you to plan your next move more accurately and easily with less unnecessary clicks. May the next battle commence!

 



Other changes:

  • To make might calculation more understandable, you will see the might value of the decoration in the building properties, which you can find in the bottom left menu after clicking on a decoration.

  • We changed the text for a few bonus effects:

    • +% combat strength of all units in the courtyard ➔ +% combat strength when attacking enemy courtyards

    • +% travel speed on the return journey ➔ +% army return travel speed

Additional Changes:

Apprentice Blacksmith Removal

  • The apprentice blacksmith will be removed as announced after August, the 18th

    • Please make sure to spend your coins by then

    • The apprentice tokens will still be available in the Nomad Shop until the 18th but will be removed from the Samurai shop.

  • We may offer the old equipment sets via the equipment trader at a later time

  • Gem removal will still be for free for some more time. We will set new prices for gem removal at the end of August in one of the next updates. 

 

Bugfixes:

  • Construction items: Barracks - Currently it is possible to use one construction recruitment item for several barracks. These items were not intended to be removed while a recruitment process is ongoing.

  • Hospital - Hospital link in the battle reports is not working correctly

  • Nomad Invasion - Players could not choose which castle to place their decoration in and it appeared in the main castle. We will fix this dialogue.

  • Messages - Players cannot cancel ignored players.

  • Hall of legends - Legendary Skill: "Five-Finger Discount" did not work properly, but we will fix it with this update. 

  • Recruit - Flash error when clicking recruit button after all stacks are filled

  • Hospital - Coins cost for healing units displayed incorrectly
